Even the qualification "in the last 10,000" years gives the doubters something else to dismiss global warming.

yep - tried GrapheneOS for the first time today and my banking app detected that the phone was jailbroken.

Did you relock the bootloader and disable OEM unlocking as part of the GrapheneOS onboarding?

The Cricut maker 3 is USB or Bluetooth. The cricut software is only just usable IMO. Thankfully designs can be done in illustrator and imported as DXF if you're very careful about the workflow.

Seems like UK might be exploring something similar to CBRS with DAS

Right now you can buy a licence which costs a nominal fee https://www.ofcom.org.uk/spectrum/frequencies/shared-access (£80 per year gets you 10Mhz in 2300, 3.8-4.2 GHZ, or 3.3 pair in 1800)

Compression

Thanks – compression is definitely useful. I’m adding a quality control slider in v1.1 so users can balance size vs quality. Smarter optimization could be something for later versions.

...and that might even yield a better product for humans :)

Surely you'd just turn it off when you pleased? A real life person doing this doesn't just disappear.

Doesnt seem to apply to Experian

Still waiting for good 3G

That will be a long wait. It’s been decommissioned in the US and many other countries have either also done it or are in the process:

Doesn’t iOS or android tell you when an AirTag is in the vicinity and following you?

I don't own an Airtag or iPhone for that matter. I wonder how is it supposed to not raise a false alarm if you are travelling with someone who has an Airtag - e.g. by car or by train. Now imagine changing trains at the same stop with someone who has an Airtag with them (this is s typical situation in commute with public transit).

So I figure it takes a longer time for the devices to be close to each other to raise an alarm.

Now back to the mail thief, I suppose an hour or two is enough to catch them.

My partner had a scare when she got a false alarm that an AirTag was on her after going out with friends. Turns out it was due to driving with a friend that had one.

If I recall on when this happens with my Wife’s or Daughter’s Air Tag, it only happens when the Air Tag is away from the “parent” Air Tag. Since theirs is not linked to mine, it won’t trigger when they are around.
