mTCP Netdrive provides block based storage over UDP to DOS clients. In theory it seems clients for other platforms could be developed. Currently the protocol isn’t documented and it isn’t open source. The author has indicated that eventually they do wish to open source it.
It has been available for a while but the latest version adds journaling features. There is session based journaling where a journal is created for each client session and rolled back upon client disconnect and a permanent journaling which supports the creation, deletion and rolling to specific journal checkpoints.
